Zenzero & Basilico è la prima edizione del concorso di food&drink proposto dalla piattaforma Zona Sarpi, rivolto a ristoranti e bar del quartiere Sarpi di Milano.
“姜与罗勒” 大赛是由 Zona Sarpi 平台推出的首届餐饮类竞赛活动,面向米兰华人街区域内的所有餐饮场所。
Food&drink is the first and common approach to international cultures: the contest Zenzero&Basilico aimes to connect two typical ingredients of the two traditions mainly involved in the Sarpi district of Milan: China and Italy, united in a single recipe, of a dish or a cocktail.
Restaurants and bars participating in the contest will propose their own interpretation of the ingredients of this edition, ginger and basil, through the recipe of a dish - sweet or savory - a drink or any gastronomic product.The creations in the competition will be proposed as a special in the menu of the activities involved, marked on the Zona Sarpi map, during Design Week 2024.
Residents and visitors will be invited to try the recipes proposed, to vote for them later on the zonasarpi.com website, on the page dedicated to Zenzero&Basilico.
The initiative invites the public and restaurateurs to hybridize the two traditional cultures involved in the area, the Chinese and the Italian, giving life to new experiences and new flavours. The competition also allows you to test yourself and offer moments of involvement for new customers and curiosity for regular customers.
Via Sarpi and its surrounding will be enlivened by urban design experiments made by independent designers who will display their work on the windows of clubs and stores along the street during design week, together with design and art galleries. With Centro Culturale Cinese — the epicenter of the district, ZONA SARPI will be brand new during MDW 2024!
During MDW 2024, Fabbrica del Vapore will host Changes! curated by ZONA SARPI, an experimental and research ground for Chinese design. Chinese universities, cities, design weeks and designers are welcomed to showcase their most cutting-edge and up-to-date creations in various fields — organic urban renewal, eco-design, lifestyle, new materials and more.
During the MDW2024 within the ADI Design Museum, ZONA SARPI will be host with cutting edge design talks and a selection of designer, uniting the Chinese and Italian design cultural property, creating a new way of communication for the design capital Milan and ZONA SARPI.
